Wall Fillers and Base Fillers are used to provide finished spacing between cabinets or beside appliances.  Depending on your particular installation requirements, a Wall or Base Filler may be recommended or required to provide adequate clearances next to walls, doorways, or multi-depth cabinet designs.
Fillers can also be used as decorative trim pieces or for customization of cabinetry.
Consider using fillers to step-out crown molding and allow it to sit flush with door faces.
