Our products are constructed from several pieces of solid wood, plywood, wood veneers, and/or MDF. Wood is a natural material in which its characteristics are shaped by the conditions of its surroundings. Natural woods will vary in texture and wood grain. It is natural for wood to exhibit subtle changes with age. Cabinet colors may lighten or darken over time. Painted finishes react differently than stained finishes with normal wood movement. Climatic changes may result in breaks in finishes, recesses, joints, and/or panel lines. Variances and reactions to wood movement and color are all considered normal occurrences and not considered defects. Color variations and color softening or yellowing in cabinets are a natural occurrence due to species of wood, age, character of cabinets, character of finishes, and exposure to UV light. These variations showcase the natural beauty and distinctive quality of wood. Prefinished Cabinets stands behind the products that we offer and has made a good faith effort to select products that we believe to be of good quality and able to stand the test of time. With that being said, we encourage you to take care of your cabinetry. Cabinets are a piece of fine furniture and should be treated as such.
